Walter Murch On Montage

I went to a fantastic talk by Walter Murch this evening. He compared the role of an editor to that of a mosaic artist ‘looking for that tiny shard of glass that would make a perfect glint in an eye’. He also extolled the virtues of working standing up ‘…like the conductor of an orchestra…or when you’re cooking’.
